New Jeep Cherokee 2024 Models, Changes, Price

New Jeep Cherokee 2024 Models, Changes, Price – The 2024 Jeep Cherokee has been in the United States of America for about fifty years and is now in its fifth generation. It is a seven-seat alternative to competitors like the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4, but with actual off-road performance and a 4,500-pound towing capacity.

Jeep provides three engine options for the Cherokee, ranging from the 180-horsepower 2.4-liter Tigershark to a 271-horsepower V6 and an optional 2.0T four-cylinder engine producing 270 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. The range is equipped with a nine-speed automatic transmission and offers front-or all-wheel drive, with the Trailhawk model offering all-wheel drive as standard, making it one of the most capable off-roaders in the compact crossover market.

Standard on new vehicles is LaneSense lane departure warnings, which assist you in staying in your lane even at high speeds, full-speed forward collision warning with active braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-path identification, and rain-sensor wipers.

The Latitude features standard power windows in the front, while the Latitude Plus and Trailhawk add heated front seats, remote start, and other features. The new Latitude Lux comes standard with nappa leather seats and a heated steering wheel. The Limited model adds a dual-pane sunroof, automatic headlights, and adaptive cruise control to the Lux model, making it even better.

Interior

Jeep’s image as a manufacturer of stripped-down, utilitarian vehicles has completely faded, and even the most basic Jeep model features a stylish and comfortable interior. The inside of the 2024 Cherokee is identical. Even though the design is simple, the whole environment is pleasant and family-friendly while still having an air of luxury, in part because the design is based on the larger Grand Cherokee.

The driver has easy access to all the knobs and buttons, and the build quality is great. The inside, on the other hand, is more crowded than the segment’s best, with little everyday storage room. Similarly, the trunk is inadequate, especially given the Cherokee’s outward footprint.

Engine

Three engine choices are available, some of which are trim-specific. The 2.4-liter Tigershark four-cylinder engine is standard from Latitude to altitude. This engine produces 180 horsepower and 171 pound-feet of torque, but requires a high rate of revving to operate efficiently. It is not our favored engine, and we consider that the engine’s relatively large displacement does not automatically translate into drivability. Much of this is because the nine-speed automatic gearbox isn’t sure what to do, can’t get into ninth gear, and is always looking for the right thing to do.

Above this, the whole of the range, up to and including the Trailhawk, is powered by a 3.2-liter Pentastar V6 engine, a reduced version of the larger 3.6-liter unit found in practically every other Jeep vehicle north of the Cherokee. Although a V6 engine is unusual in the compact crossover segment, this one delivers 271 horsepower and 239 pound-feet of torque, which contributes to the vehicle’s outstanding towing capabilities and is paired with the same transmission. Despite this, it outperforms the competition in a number of ways, including a deeper low-end grunt and a more powerful high-end.It’s also a great match for the Trailhawk, because the naturally aspirated torque curve makes it good for off-roading.
