Interior
On the inside, the crossover delivers as expected for the price. The project’s conception and execution are excellent. Each of the three seats in the 2024 Jeep Compass has enough legroom to recline, making it possible to fit three people in the vehicle. It’s not quite as much in the front for most adults.
Engine
The 2024 Jeep Compass will only have a single engine option: a 2.4-liter Tigershark inline several-tube engine. Because of the transmission’s shortened ratio and reworked powertrain, a new gearbox was needed to match the engine. The engine produces 180 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque, no matter the selected setting. Only the Sport FWD and 4WD Latitude come standard with a six-speed manual transmission.
A six-speed automatic transmission is standard on other FWD Compass models; a nine-speed automatic is standard on 4WD models. Several vehicles now come standard with an automatic gearbox (A/T) to compensate for the lack of manual shifting options. This 4WD Compass was equipped with a ZF 9-speed automatic transmission and was a blast to drive. Sluggishness in this transmission causes the compass needle to appear slow when it shouldn’t be.
2024 Jeep Compass Release Date and Price
Due to the wide range of trims and external aesthetic options, the 2024 Jeep Compass’s price might differ significantly. Even in the most expensive configurations, it remains reasonably priced. The Latitude model costs $3,345 more than the Sport version. Their appearances are the primary consideration for the Altitude Edition and Northern Edition, which cost $27,045 and $27,975. With a starting MSRP of $28,630, the Limited isn’t the most affordable option, even if it is the finest one available. Only the price of the Trailhawk package went raised, from $28,850 to $29,850, as the rest remained the same. The High Altitude, a style package for the Limited’s highest echelons, costs $30,650.
