Jeep Cherokee 2024 Concept, Changes, Price – In their fifth generation, 2024 Jeep Cherokee have been made in the United States for the past fifty years. A seven-passenger rival to the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4, but with natural off-road prowess and a 4,500-pound towing capacity.
In addition to the 180-horsepower Tigershark, the Cherokee offers a 271-horsepower V6 and a 2.0T four-cylinder engine with 270 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque an option. The transmission is a nine-speed automatic. All-wheel drive is standard on the Trailhawk model, making it one of the best small crossovers for going off-road.
2024 Jeep Cherokee Redesign
The 2024 Jeep Cherokee has a slew of new options for its trim levels. New cars come equipped as standard with LaneSense lane departure alarms, which help you stay in your lane even at high speeds. These include full-speed forward collision warning, active braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-path recognition, and rain-sensor wipers. These options can be activated or deactivated.
The Latitude comes standard with front electric windows, while the Latitude Plus and Trailhawk come standard with heated front seats, remote start, and other options. The heated steering wheel and Nappa leather seats come standard on the new Latitude Lux. With the Limited variant, you get a dual-pane sunroof and automated headlights and adaptive cruise control.
Even the most basic Jeep model has a slick and pleasant cabin, erasing Jeep’s reputation as a manufacturer of high-quality automobiles. The inside of the 2024 Cherokee is the same. Since the design is based on the Grand Cherokee, interior comfort and family friendliness are maintained while maintaining an impression of luxury.
The built-in controls are easy to reach, and the quality is excellent. In contrast to the segment’s best, the inside is tight and lacks storage space. As a result, the Cherokee’s trunk is undersized, especially given the vehicle’s size.
Engines are available in three flavors, some exclusive to certain trims. The 2.4-liter Tigershark four-cylinder engine is standard, regardless of altitude. A fast rate of revving is necessary to get the most out of this engine’s 180 horsepower and 171 pound-feet of torque. In our opinion, the engine’s comparatively large displacement does not necessarily translate into drivability. A big reason is that the nine-speed automatic transmission can’t go into ninth gear and is always looking for the best way to move forward.
In addition to this, the 3.2-liter Pentastar V6 engine featured in practically every other Jeep north of the Cherokee powers the whole lineup, including the Trailhawk. Even though a V6 engine is unusual in the small crossover segment, this one can generate 271 horsepower and 239 pound-feet of torque, allowing the vehicle to haul an impressive amount of weight. Despite this, it outperforms the competition in several key categories, including lower low-end grunt and more high-end power. Also, due to its off-road-friendly torque curve, it pairs well with the Trailhawk.
2024 Jeep Cherokee Release Date and Price
The Latitude FWD variant of the new Jeep Cherokee costs $27,455. The Freedom now costs $28,405 while the Latitude Plus costs $29,525. With a starting price of $30,875 for the Latitude Lux, the Altitude is somewhat more costly at $30,965. Cost: $33,055 for an 80th anniversary re-creation. For the Jeep Cherokee Limited, the starting price is $35,030, rising to $36,330 for the Trailhawk and $37,720 for the High Altitude model. Front-wheel drive is standard on all models except the Trailhawk.
