New Jeep Grand Cherokee 2024 Specs, Price – The 2024 Jeep Cherokee has been in existence in the United States for about fifty years and is now in its fifth iteration. Compared to rivals like the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4, the Ford Escape provides a seven-seat option with actual off-road prowess and a class-leading towing capacity of 4,500 pounds.
Three engine options are offered by Jeep for the Cherokee: the 180 horsepower 2.4-liter Tigershark, the 271 horsepower V6, and the optional 2.0T four-banger with 270 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. All three engines are offered by Jeep. The Trailhawk variant comes standard with all-wheel drive and a nine-speed automatic gearbox, making it one of the most capable off-roaders in the compact crossover class. The front-wheel purpose is also available.
2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee Redesign
The 2024 Jeep Cherokee is available in a wide range of trim levels, each with many new extras. In today’s vehicles, you’ll find features like LaneSense, which warns you if you’re drifting out of your lane, full-speed forward collision warning with active braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-path identification, and rain-sensor wipers. For example, the Trailhawk includes heated front seats and a remote start, while the Latitude Plus and Latitude have updated front power windows and other features. The new Latitude Lux comes standard with Nappa leather seats and a heated steering wheel. The Lux gets automated headlights, adaptive cruise control, and a dual-pane sunroof in the Limited.
Interior
Even the most basic Jeep model has a clean and comfortable interior, which dispels the misconception that Jeep only builds utilitarian vehicles. Inside, the 2024 Cherokee is just like its predecessors. A large part of the design’s success lies in the fact that it is based on the larger Jeep Grand Cherokee, which lends an air of refinement and comfort to the vehicle’s interior despite its simplicity. The build quality is outstanding, and all of the controls and knobs are conveniently accessible to the driver. On the other hand, the inside is more crowded than the best on the market, with only limited everyday storage. If you look at how small the Cherokee’s trunk looks next to the car’s overall size, you’ll be shocked to find that it’s tiny.
Engine
A total of three engines are available, some of which are only available in certain trims. With the 2.4-liter Tigershark four-cylinder engine, you can go anywhere at any altitude. This engine produces 180 horsepower and 171 lb-ft of torque, but it needs to be revved up to work at its best. It’s not our favorite engine, and we don’t think its high displacement is a good indicator of how drivable it is. The nine-speed automatic gearbox isn’t sure what to do, can’t shift into ninth gear, and keeps hunting for an answer.
The 3.2-liter Pentastar V6 engine that powers the rest of the Jeep line up to the Trailhawk is a smaller version of the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine used in nearly every other Jeep vehicle north of the Cherokee. A V6 engine in a compact crossover is rare, but this one puts out 271 horsepower and 239 pound-feet of torque, allowing the car to haul more than others in its class. It still uses the same gearbox, though. Although the low-end grunt is deeper and the high-end punch is more forceful, it’s still a better performer in many aspects. Natural aspiration’s smooth torque delivery makes it perfect for off-road driving in the Trailhawk.
2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee Release Date and Price
The starting price of a new Jeep Cherokee Latitude FWD is $27,455. Freedom and Latitude Plus both cost an additional $28.405 and $29.525, respectively. With a price tag of $30,965, the Altitude Lux is somewhat more costly than the Latitude Lux. Priced at $33,055, this reproduction honors the event’s 80th anniversary. The Trailhawk costs $36,330, while the High Altitude costs $37,720. The Jeep Cherokee Limited starts at $35,030. FWD is standard on all models except for the Trailhawk, which has AWD as an option.
