New Jeep Cherokee 2024 Release Date, Changes, Concept – 2024 Jeep Cherokee has been manufactured in the United States of America for about fifty years and is currently in its fifth generation. It’s a seven-seat competitor to the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4, but with genuine off-road capability and a towing capacity of 4,500 pounds.
The Cherokee has three engine options, ranging from the 180-horsepower 2.4-liter Tigershark to a 271-horsepower V6 and an optional 2.0T four-cylinder engine delivering 270 hp 295 lb-ft of torque. The range is fitted with a nine-speed automatic transmission. It comes in front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive configurations, with the Trailhawk model coming standard with all-wheel drive, making it one of the most capable off-roaders in the compact crossover segment.
2024 Jeep Cherokee Redesign
Each trim level of the 2024 Jeep Cherokee includes a bevy of additional features. LaneSense lane departure alerts are standard on new vehicles, assisting you in keeping in your lane even at high speeds. Other standard features include full-speed forward collision warning with active braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-path detection, and rain-sensor wipers. These features can be turned on or off.
Front power windows are standard on the LatitudeLatitude, while heated front seats, remote start, and additional options are available on the Latitude Plus and Trailhawk. The new Latitude Lux features Nappa leather seats and a heated steering wheel as standard. The Limited model adds a dual-pane sunroof, automatic headlights, and adaptive cruise control to the Lux model, making it even better.
Interior
Jeep’s reputation as a maker of valuable vehicles has disappeared, and even the most basic Jeep model offers a sleek and comfortable cabin. The 2024 Cherokee’s interior is the same. Even though the design is simple, the interior is comfortable and family-friendly while still giving off an air of luxury because the design is based on the more prominent Grand Cherokee.
All knobs and buttons are easily accessible to the driver, and the build quality is excellent. On the other hand, the interior is more cramped than the segment’s best, with limited space for ordinary storage. Likewise, the trunk is insufficient, especially given the Cherokee’s outward footprint.
Engine
There are three engine options, some of which are trim-specific. From LatitudeLatitude to altitude, the 2.4-liter Tigershark four-cylinder engine is standard. This engine develops 180 horsepower and 171 pound-feet of torque, but operates most efficiently at a high rate of revving. It is not our preferred engine, and we believe that the engine’s relatively large displacement does not imply drivability. Much of this is because the nine-speed automatic transmission is unsure of what to do, is unable to engage ninth gear, and is always looking for the best course of action.
Above this, the entire range, including the Trailhawk, is powered by a 3.2-liter Pentastar V6 engine, a downsized version of the bigger 3.6-liter unit found in virtually every other Jeep vehicle north of the Cherokee. Although a V6 engine is uncommon in the compact crossover sector, this one produces 271 horsepower and 239 pound-feet of torque, contributing to the vehicle’s exceptional towing capabilities, and is mated with the same transmission as the previous model. Despite this, it beats its rivals in a variety of areas, including deeper low-end grunt and a more powerful high-end. It’s also a great match for the Trailhawk, because the naturally aspirated torque curve is good for off-roading.
