2024 Jeep Wagoneer Engine, Changes, Specs – There are no Jeep logos on the new Jeep Wagoneer. It’s a clever move that differentiates this new luxury car from entry-level Jeeps like the Grand Cherokee. The new 2024 Jeep Wagoneer interior and exterior luxury finishes are reminiscent of very expensive Lexus SUVs. Since 1991, Jeep has been without a truly luxury SUV.
While some may argue for higher-spec Grand Cherokees, the Grand Cherokee has always been a more inexpensive option than its German competitors and a better match for the Ford Explorer. The more costly, bigger Wagoneer maintains Jeep’s outmoded 5.7-liter Hemi V8 engine with 392 horsepower and 404 pound-feet of torque. Even though the engine is old, it has 48-volt mild hybrid eTorque technology that can make 130 lb-ft of low-end torque.
2024 Jeep Wagoneer Redesign

The standard interior is stunning, and the material quality is unparalleled in a Jeep. The craftsmanship is superb, with plush leather upholstery that provides a cozy ambience. Prior high-end Jeeps, like the depressing Commander, were available exclusively in various shades of grey plastic. Jeep asserts that the inside will endure.
Each internal component was extensively tested, which meant that some poor person had to sit and open the middle armrest storage compartment thousands of times to ensure it did not fall apart. Is the interior’s main point. It is fully customizable and has split-screen capabilities by default. The climate control buttons on the Wagoneer are situated beneath the screen, where they should be. Finally, there is an exquisite steering wheel provided. It’s the most obvious reference to the classic Wagoneer. While the nostalgia may not be to everyone’s taste, we enjoy it.
Engine
The majority of drivers should be familiar with the 5.7-liter V8 engine, as it has been available since the early 2000s. 392 hp and 404 lb-ft of torque. These higher-than-average figures are due to the addition of mild-hybrid assistance. Jeep placed a 16-hp, 130-lb-ft electric motor between the engine and transmission, which is driven by a 48-volt 12-cell lithium-ion battery. It boosts low-end torque and fills torque gaps between zero and the engine’s top speed of 5,800 revolutions per minute. Jeep does not record sprint timings for the Wagoneer because they would be meaningless for a car of this grade.

The advantage of this new engine is its increased towing capability. When correctly constructed, the Wagoneer is capable of pulling an amazing 10,000 pounds. Rear-wheel drive is standard on the Jeep Wagoneer SUV. Upgrade to 4×4, but be prepared to select between two distinct 4WD systems. The entry-level Quadra-Trac I is a permanent four-wheel drive system with a restricted range that is Road in cold weather and on some lightly rocky ground.
2024 Jeep Wagoneer Release Date and Price
Eventually, the Wagoneer will be available in three trim levels: Series I, Series II, and Series III. The Series I models will be shown at a later date. Series II is now priced at $68,845, while the more expensive Series III is priced at $73,845. The price of the Jeep Wagoneer does not include the $2,000 destination fee.
