2024 Jeep Compass Redesign, Colors, Exterior – For most people, a 2024 Jeep Wrangler-style Jeep is a Jeep with its doors and roof removed for driving on gravel. Although the Wrangler’s starting price is prohibitive for many, not everyone needs the Jeep’s off-road capabilities. Jeep’s lineup now includes smaller vehicles like the Compass compact crossover.
Jeep’s first-generation 2024 Jeep Compass, which was based on the Dodge Caliber, was phased out in favor of the second-generation model, which will be on the market in 2022. Despite their small stature, Fiat’s 500L and 500X models can cram a lot of off-road performance into their compact dimensions. So when Jeep sent us a 2013 High Altitude 4×4 model to test for the brand, we couldn’t help but be excited to see how it would do.

As a result, the 2024 Jeep Wrangler is a Renegade/Cherokee crossbreed. Consider the Jeep Cherokee Renegade. We think the Grand Cherokee is a small vehicle. Higher-end models include 19-inch satin-finish alloy wheels instead of the base model’s 16-inch steel wheels. The Jeep seven-slot grille on the front fascia is completed with fog lights integrated into the lower bumper.
The lower bumpers and wheel arch protection are standard on all models. Alloy wheels and a black hood design set the Trailhawk apart from the competition. Both the Altitude and the High Altitude come in a one-of-a-kind aesthetic bundle because they are limited-edition models. Both cars have a black top, 18-inch alloy wheels, and a pair of eye-catching exhaust pipes. The latter type’s bi-xenon HID headlights and taillights are also heated and operated.
Interior
Compared to its price, the inside of the 2024 Jeep Compass is about average. The interior has a more luxurious appearance thanks to the extensive use of soft-touch materials in high-traffic areas. We always get the same high-quality items no matter how many people are on board. The controls for the features and entertainment are conveniently located, as are the seats.
Due to the SUV’s intended purpose to be an excellent all-around driver, the interior and seats are of the highest quality. This may change if you choose leather upholstery and heated/ventilated seats in the Jeep’s interior choices.
Engine
The 2.4-liter Tigershark four-cylinder engine is the only powertrain option for the 2024 Jeep Compass. Various transmissions are available for multiple machines, depending on the configuration and drivetrain. The engine can produce 180 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque no matter what the combination is. There is a six-speed manual transmission in the Sport and Latitude 4WD models and the Sport and Latitude 4WD models.
There is a six-speed automatic transmission standard on all FWD Compasses, while there is a nine-speed automatic transmission on all 4WD Compasses. A six-speed automatic transmission can be used in place of the manual transmission. We put a ZF-sourced nine-speed automatic transmission through its paces in a 4WD Compass to see how well it performed. As with previous implementations of this transmission, when a shift was necessary, we found it to be sluggish. The Compass’ 180 horsepower isn’t much while towing 3,600 pounds, so it won’t be quick.
2024 Jeep Compass Release Date and Price
Since there are so many different options and styles to choose from, the price of the Jeep Compass in 2024 might vary substantially. Even at its most expensive, it’s still a good deal. There is a $3,345 price difference between the Sport and the Latitude. Both the Altitude and North Editions of the Latitude are primarily cosmetic, with a price tag of $27,045 and $27,975. With a starting price of $28,630, the Limited isn’t the most costly car on the market. Only the Trailhawk’s starting price of $29,850 sets the bar higher than any other. There is a $30,650 high altitude package for the Limited.
