2024 Jeep Cherokee SRT Electric Model, Interior, Price – About fifty years ago, the 2024 Jeep Cherokee SRT was first produced in the United States and is now in its fifth iteration. It’s a seven-seat rival to the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4, but with actual off-road competence and a 4,500-pound towing capacity. In addition to the 180-horsepower Tigershark, the Cherokee has a 271-horsepower V6 and a 2.0T four-cylinder engine that produce 270 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque, respectively. A nine-speed automatic transmission is a standard across the range. One of the most capable off-roaders in its class, the Trailhawk model, comes standard with all-wheel drive and may be ordered with either front or all-wheel drive.
2024 Jeep Cherokee Redesign
The 2024 Jeep Cherokee comes in various trim levels, each with a slew of optional extras. LaneSense lane departure warnings are now standard on new vehicles, helping you stay in your lane even when driving at high speeds. Forward collision warning with active braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-path recognition, and rain sensor wipers are all included as standard equipment. These options can be activated or deactivated.
In addition to front power windows, the SRT Plus and Trailhawk come equipped with heated front seats, remote start, and other features. Nappa leather seats and a heated steering wheel are standard on the SRT Lux. Adding a dual-pane sunroof, automated headlights, and adaptive cruise control to the Lux variant makes it even better.
Interior
When it comes to quality vehicles, Jeep’s image has faded, and even the most basic Jeep model has a slick and pleasant interior design. The interior of the 2024 Cherokee is the same. The design is based on the more well-known Grand Cherokee, so the interior is comfortable and suitable for families, and it still looks like a luxury car.
The build quality is superb, and the driver has easy access to all the knobs and buttons. On the other hand, the interior is more cramped than the segment’s best, and there is little room for everyday items. The Cherokee’s trunk, however, is abysmal, given the vehicle’s size.
Engine
Engines are available in three flavors, some of which are exclusive to certain trims. The 2.4-liter Tigershark four-cylinder engine is standard from latitude to latitude. When revved at high speeds, its engine produces 180 horsepower and 171 pound-feet of torque. It’s not our favorite engine, and we don’t think its enormous displacement means it will be easy to drive. In large part, this is due to the nine-speed automatic transmission’s being unclear of what it should do and being unable to engage ninth gear.
It’s a 3.2-liter Pentastar V6 engine, a smaller version of the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 found in nearly every other Jeep vehicle north of the Cherokee, which powers all of the other Jeeps. Despite the fact that a V6 engine is uncommon in the compact crossover segment, this one is capable of generating 271 horsepower and 239 pound-feet of torque, allowing the vehicle to haul an impressive amount of weight. A more powerful high-end and deeper low-end grunt are just two examples of where the Z390 outperforms the competition. The torque curve of the naturally aspirated Trailhawk is perfect for off-roading, so this engine is a great fit for it.
2024 Jeep Cherokee Release Date and Price
The SRT FWD model of the Jeep Cherokee SRT starts at $27,455. The Freedom now costs $28,405 while the SRT Plus costs $29,525. The Lux is the first model to cost more than $30,875; the Altitude is slightly more expensive at $30,965. The price: $33,055 for an 80th-anniversary commemorative reproduction. The Jeep Cherokee Limited starts at $35,030 and goes up to $36,330 for the Trailhawk and $37,720 for the High Altitude models. All versions, with the exception of the Trailhawk, are front-wheel drive only.
