2024 Jeep Cherokee Electric Price, Release Date, Model

2024 Jeep Cherokee Electric Price, Release Date, Model – The fifth generation of the 2024 Jeep Cherokee has been built in the United States of America for about fifty years. It is a seven-seat rival to the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4, with true off-road capability and a 4,500-pound towing capacity.

The Cherokee has three engine options, ranging from a 180-horsepower 2.4-liter Tigershark to a 271-horsepower V6 and a 270-horsepower 295-pound-feet-of-torque 2.0T four-cylinder engine. There is a nine-speed automatic transmission in the lineup. It is available with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, and the Trailhawk variant comes standard with all-wheel drive, making it one of the most competitive small crossovers off-road.

Each trim level of the 2024 Jeep Cherokee contains a multitude of additional amenities. LaneSense lane departure warnings are standard on all new cars, allowing you to maintain lane position even at high speeds. Frontal collision warning with automatic braking at full speed, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-path recognition, and windshield wipers that know when it’s raining are some of the other standard features.

Front power windows are standard on the Latitude, while the Latitude Plus and Trailhawk provide heated front seats, remote start, and more options. The new Latitude Lux comes standard with Nappa leather seats and a heated steering wheel. The Lux model gets a dual-pane sunroof, automatic headlights, and adaptive cruise control when it is upgraded to the Limited version.

Interior

Jeep’s image as a manufacturer of high-quality automobiles has vanished, and even the most basic Jeep model features a stylish and pleasant interior. The inside of the 2024 Cherokee remains the same. Because it’s based on the more well-known Grand Cherokee, the inside is comfortable and good for families, and even though the outside is simple, it gives off an air of luxury.

The driver has easy access to all knobs and controls, and the build quality is exceptional. However, the inside is less spacious than the segment’s finest, with little space for everyday storage. Similarly, the trunk is inadequate, especially considering the Cherokee’s outside dimensions.

Engine

Three engine choices are available, some of which are trim-specific. The 2.4-liter Tigershark four-cylinder engine is standard at all altitudes. This engine produces 180 horsepower and 171 lb-ft of torque, but it performs best effectively at a high rpm. It is not our favored engine, and its comparatively huge displacement does not suggest drivability, in our opinion. Most of this is because the nine-speed automatic gearbox doesn’t know what to do, can’t shift into ninth gear, and is always looking for the best thing to do.

The remainder of the lineup, including the Trailhawk, is powered by a 3.2-liter Pentastar V6 engine, a scaled-down version of the larger 3.6-liter unit featured in practically every other Jeep vehicle sold north of the Cherokee. Although V6 engines are unusual in the small crossover segment, this one generates 271 horsepower and 239 pound-feet of torque, adding to the vehicle’s remarkable towing capacity. It is paired with the same transmission as the previous generation. Despite this, it outperforms its competitors in a number of ways, including a deeper low-end growl and a more potent high-end. Also, the torque curve of a naturally aspirated engine is perfect for off-roading, making it a great fit for the Trailhawk.
